We must've seen a dozen of these throughout the trip in the Andes of Central Peru this time. OK, they are one of the easier ones (antpittas) to see, but great value still none-the-less. This one sat up nicely across a gulley while we were looking for Striated Earthcreeper on the Satipo Road.

PERU (Central Sept / Oct): Stripe-headed Antpitta.
We must've seen a dozen of these throughout the trip in the Andes of Central Peru this time. OK, they are one of the easier ones (antpittas) to see, but great value still none-the-less. This one sat up nicely across a gulley while we were looking for Striated Earthcreeper on the Satipo Road.
