MEXICO 2008

Volcan Fuego, Mexico February 2008.

Well I'm now able to blog from abroad which is a real bonus. At present I'm sitting in my hotel room in Miramar near San Blas in Nayarit in Mexico listening to the Pacific pounding against the rocky beach below. We're currently 7 hours behind GMT and enjoyed over a week of birding since we landed in Guadalajara on 23 Feb. We've travelled south to Ciudad Guzman, birding the volcanoes of Colima before heading south to the coast near Manzanillo. From there we headed west(ish) towards Barra de Navidad and tyhen onto to Puerta Vallarta where we crossed onto Nayarit and on to our present location. Tomorrow we are heading up the Durango Highway to the Tufted Jay Preserve for the final stage of the trip.

More soon ........
