MEXICO 2008: From Colima volcanoes to the coast at Barra de Navidad.

So still no bird pics - just too much to look at. Still the volcano stayed still long enough and you can just see a Turkey Vulture over it too. The second picture shows our group taking morning coffe "al fresco" (whoever he is) after scoring on goodies like Golden-browed Warbler, Rufous-capped Brush-finch, Slate-throated Redstart and best of all a cracking Chestnut-sided Shrike Vireo.
From Ciudad Guzman we dropped down to Colima to bird Volcan Fuego and La Cumbre where the pick of the bunch were Colima Pygmy-Owl, Long-tailed Wood-Partridge, Black-chested Sparrow and inumerable Orange-breasted Buntings (including some stunning males). Then it was on to the coast picking up a crippling male Red-breasted Chat and a not so crippling (but endemic) Flammulated Flycatcher.
