CUBA 2008: West Indian Whistling-Duck.

West Indian Whistling-Duck, Cayo Coco March 2008.

With sightings from Zapata and La Belen previously on our trip the "pressure was off" regarding West Indian Whistling-Duck but it was sure nice to get such close views near our hotel on Cayo Coco. Considered threatened, we had a bumper year for this species with a huge gathering of 50+ birds on one quiet lagoon in the late afternoon on Cayo Coco.
