A trip out to the Soumiduro Road for the endemic Three-toed Jacamars makes a really nice excursion from REGUA. The forest is slightly drier here (than at REGUA) and the jacamars are quite easy to find as they are nesting in the steep banks. Plenty of other goodies too including a cracking Crescent-chested Puffbird, Surucua Trogons, Yellow-eared Woodpeckers and a nice Barn Owl roosting under the bank.
