The Tandayapa Valley in N. Ecuador is one of my favourite Neotropical birding localities. Plenty of accommodation available at various sites allowing easy access to the lower parts of the valley near Mindo and with the lowland Choco forests within easy driving distance. Quality birding all around with Scaled Fruiteaters, Olivaceous Pihas, Toucan Barbets, Plate-billed Mountain-Toucans and a multitude of hummingbirds on the feeders outside the lodges.
