Cinereous Bunting

Cinereous Bunting on the slopes below Ipsilou Monastery (below), Lesvos May 2012.
Ipsilou: habitat for Rock Nuthatch, Blue Rock Thrush, Rock Sparrow, Cinereous and Cretzschmar's Buntings and grounded migrants.

Best ever views of the rather "subtly handsome" Cinereous Bunting this year at Ipsilou on Lesvos. Males seemed to be singing all over the place on the boulder-strewn, sparsely scrub-covered slopes between Ipsilou and nearby Vigla.
